Lately I’ve been thinking about the direction of history and the progress toward the biblical belief system now and in the future. The Old Testament ends saying, “And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” By 70 A.D. the 66 books of the bible were completed, the temple was destroyed, and the Apostles' Creed was completed. The Apostles' Creed was further articulated with the Trinity by 381 A.D. then completed with the two natures of Christ in 451 A.D. By now we’ve got the land with a biblical belief system in which the parents and the children are transmitting the biblical belief system to the later generations. The future is the certainty that Christ’s rule on the earth will be the dominant rule by his second coming on judgement day.

Another O. T. verse warns, in Duet. 4.2, “You shall not add to the Word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD, your GOD which I command you.”

The N.T. ends with the following promise and warning;   Rev. 22.1 “He showed me a river of the water, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of GOD and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street. And on either side of the river, was the tree of life bearing twelve kinds of fruits and yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

Rev. 22.2, “ The tree of life that bears fruit thru the twelve months, and monthly, and whose leaves are for the healing of the nations.”<br>In Rev. 22.7, “and behold I am coming quickly, blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book.” In Rev. 22.19, “If anyone adds to and takes from the Words of this book of the prophecy, GOD shall take away his part from the tree of life, and from the Holy City, which are written in this book.”

Christians need to be aware that a concisely stated system that has been developed as the Creed by 451 The acronym, T.H.E.O.S. allows the five basics of the belief system to be as effectively transmitted as the Creedal statement did on the TRINITY, the church, and Judgment Day.
